📢 Important Update: New Civic Engagement Policy (SLP/CIP)

Dear Students,

The Academic Council and the President’s Office have approved a new Civic Engagement Policy, reaffirming our university’s commitment to community engagement while improving the structure of the program.

Here’s what you need to know:

✅ Two Pathways to Fulfill the Requirement:

• CIP 2100 (1 credit): Complete 60 hours of documented community service.
• SLP Component (1 credit): Take a course with an approved Service-Learning component, requiring at least 40 hours of hands-on service connected to that course.

✅ Course Integration:

• The standalone SLP 1101 course is discontinued.
• All SLP components will now be linked to an academic course and taken concurrently (e.g., if you register for ABC 2305, you must also register for its paired SLP 2305).
